May 4 – Nude, Green Leaves and Bust a 1932 painting by Pablo Picasso was sold at Christie's for $106.5 million.4 There were more than half a dozen bidders, while the winning bid was taken via telephone.5 May 20 – Five paintings including works by Picasso and Matisse worth €100 million are stolen from the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.67 June 9 – American Cable television Bravo airs a new series Work of Art: The Next Great Artist which premiered on June 9, 2010.
